EP and Swing trading Bootcamp with night assignments

This boot camp is not for those who want a relaxed retreat where they will sit back and be entertained. Don't bother with it if you are not willing to kill yourself each day of the bootcamp. It is for those who want to learn and enhance their self-efficacy beliefs actively. You can just ask previous participants about their experience if you like.

Better late than never... my Bootcamp experience.

I've been a member since August 2021 and the North Brunswick Bootcamp is my first one. Since August 21 I've been in and out of trading, making every mistake on the book (yes, even flirting with different setups) but have been taking things pretty seriously this year. Being in the daily meetings, trying to develop my SA and so on. It has not been a great year for continuation setups, so I have not devoted 100% of my time to trading.

Going to a Bootcamp was quite an investment to me because I live in South America so the plane tickets are quite expensive. However, I pulled the trigger in November and bought the ticket for the NJ Bootcamp.

What I was looking for was quite clear to me: self-efficacy beliefs. I wanted to have the confidence to take larger size, being sure that I 'got' the setup right. I wanted to come back home excited to trade.

The experience was literally life-changing. I got everything I was looking for and more. Being someone that works form home and loves it, I had not considered the importance of social learning. EG is a great generous person that will go through your Deep Dive, answer questions and make sure that you don't go back home without understanding the setups. However, his commitment to everyone's success is crazy. The community that Pradeep has created is really a support system available to each and every member of the site. The incredible conversations I had at the Bootcamp had helped me clarify and re-clarify concepts that EG has been teaching us for years.

I'm back home and have daily conversations with people I met at the BC, constantly challenging our setup selection, exchanging opinions, and just basically lifting ourselves higher.

To finish my rant, if you're on the fence and you don't know whether the Bootcamp is worth it, make yourself a favor and go. I didn't know how alone I felt until I met other traders going through the same struggles.

And finally, a huge thanks to Pradeep for doing this, for challenging us but also for giving us the confidence we need to make this work. Trading is a journey (and a pretty long one for some of us) but having this community to lean on is what I think will make me successful in the long run.

Thank you to all the people I've met and exchanged opinions with, you've helped me tremendously. Social learning is the absolute best.

My Bootcamp experience!

Hey All, Maor here. A little bit delayed but I have been traveling ever since I’ve completed the bootcamp and I finally had some time to write down a proper review.

I wanted to start off by thanking EG(& his team) for all of their hard work and dedication. EG taught us with so much clarity, and even when things weren’t understood or challenged he was patient with us as we asked questions that weren’t always great(North Korea anyone?). I would also like to highlight that EG doesn’t hold anything back from the members on the site. The content that was provided in the bootcamp is all available online which shows that EG is genuinely doing this to help others.

What’s not available online is the 2 key takeaways that everyone who is thinking of taking a bootcamp must consider

·        The Power of Feedback

·        Learning from others

I joined StockBee about 3 weeks prior to the bootcamp and watched every video in the guide at least 2 times. In addition, I have prepared notes, and even did my first deep dive before attending the bootcamp. As someone that has almost 3 years of experience trading I thought I had a good understanding of the methodologies taught by EG.

Do you know what happened when we did our first exercise and I had to show him my 2LYNCH selection? I got a few lucky yesses and than 8 NO’s in a row based on a fundamental mistake that I was making in my selection. He gave me and every single student feedback.  I took that feedback and used it for the assigned deep dive and came back the next day getting all Yes’s. That is the power of getting feedback. There is so much value in all the videos and guides provided on the site, and yes most of the bootcamp content is available for you to watch. But what’s missing is someone on the other end providing you with critical feedback.

Learning from Others

In addition to all the learning I would also say that surrounding yourself with people who have the same goals & aspirations is extremely empowering. Having people there from all levels(new to experienced) was eye opening for me, and showed me what was possible. For example our first night we did a deep dive on continuation setup and most of us found around 80-120 opportunities in the last 6 months. One of the more seasoned traders identified over 300!! that set an example to us all, which was beyond inspiring to me.  Finally when I combined all the lists from everyone we had around 440 opportunities! That is close to an average of 2-3 opportunities per day once you master the setup! Only from 2LYNCH!

In terms of what was covered, its everything that EG talks about day in and day out. 2LYNCH, EP, Mind Clarity, Visualization. Nothing new, there is no need to complicate thing. Once you get all of those things understood trading should be easy.

I will close my review with a thought from one of my favorite trading related books which I highly recommend (Thinking in bets by Annie Duke). On day to day basis most of us don’t think of our decisions as bets(or in “probabilities”). I.E if I drive 5 miles above the speed limit I will not get a ticket. We normally see it as either 100%(I didn’t get a ticket) or 0%(I did get a ticket). The Book helps understand that even though MOST cops will ignore you going 5 miles above the limit, a percentage of them won’t. And therefor you should evaluate the decision of going above the speed limit accepting that probability of it might happening. Thinking that way is extremely crucial in trading (and in poker which Annie Plays). I think the bootcamp is a great example where you can very quickly enhance your probability of success in trading. To each person that % change may be different but personally I know that my odds of success in trading have increased tremendously by attending. Enough that I am planning to attend as many as can, until I no longer see my probability of success increasing by attending.

If anyone has any questions about the bootcamp feel free to contact me!

Once again, thank you EG for all that you do.

Bootcamp update - It really helps you see the picture clearly. Prior ot BC, i would've been getting into trades today, whereas i've taken profits on my open positions which have almost all gapped up. 1 left, which i'm watching like a hawk, moving stops as today is day 4 of the 3-5 days mom burst.

Since the bootcamp, i've moved my entire portfolio up over 3%.

Thanks Pradeep.
